How courses are organized

Navimeteo organize practical courses for sailors and yachtsmen at their own Chiavari weather centre or in other venues, like nautical schools, yacht clubs or other locations at harbours.

The aim of the courses is to teach the practical and operative experience accrued in several years activity by Navimeteo experts in the field of marine meteorology. Organized on a “one-day, full-immersion formula”, the courses allow participants to rapidly acquire a good understanding of marine weather phenomena and to refine their capacity to interpret and analyze weather information.

All the topics, even the most complex ones, are explained in a very simple manner, and with the help of route simulations; comparisons will be shown between theoretical-technical concepts and more practical aspects of sailing.

In addition to the basic course, a more advanced training is available; this is aimed at making participants get an insight on weather conditions in the high seas and regattas.
